• Description : A White or almost white, crystalline powder
• Solubility : Practically insoluble in water and in ethanol. Soluble in dilute mineral acids
• Identification : It gives reaction of Aluminium salts, Magnesium salts and Sulfates
• Loss on Drying (200*C) : 10.0% to 20.0%
• Soluble Chloride : NMT 3.5%
• Soluble Sulphate : NMT 1.9%
• Sodium : NMT 0.10%
• Arsenic : NMT 8 ppm
• Heavy Metals : NMT 60 ppm
• Magnesium Hydroxide : 49.2% to 66.6%
• Aluminium Hydroxide : 32.1% to 45.9%
• Sulphate : 16.0% to 21.0%
• ASSAY as Magaldrate: 90.0% to 105.0%
• Microbial limit : E. Coli Absent
